This weekend at London Fashion Week brought us a strong menu of imaginative collections for Spring 2017, but one of the standouts has to be what we saw from J.W.Anderson. As always, Anderson's show was packed with adoring fans and the young designer did not disappoint. Somehow, he always manages to straddle the spectrum of sartorial adjectives all at once - elegant and undone, editorial and street, feminine and masculine, vintage and forward-thinking. This season was a classic take on these descriptors as the designer sent asymmetrical hemlines, utility puffer jackets, medieval-esque jumpers, and loosely tailored dresses down his runway. It's the mark of what any good brand aspires to do - create something new, but remind us of their history.
