The most recent show by Lacoste's Felipe Oliveira Baptista embodied what seemed to be a culmination of several themes. In short, take equal parts Amelia Earhart, Kurt Cobain, and Han Solo and you'll have a strong sense of what the Fall 2017 collection was all about.
Puffers with matching wind-breaker jumpsuits, loose and easy parkas, planetary graphic prints, and an abundance of idillic fall leather outerwear were met with the unmistakably grungey - i.e. lumberjack plaids, mohair cardigans, and ample amounts of velour. The looks were 90s by way of overly slouchy pants (many cargo) paired with either their tracksuit counterpart or a tight to the body jacket. All of this as the models made their way down a red rock, Mars-like runway. The force, it seems, is strong with this collection.
