Imagine losing yourself in the endlessly winding streets of Paris. What would you be wearing? Well, most likely it would look a lot like something from A.P.C.'s latest fall collection. Each look begs for it.
Much of what this collection is is signature A.P.C. Nearly 30 years on the brand still showcased what it does best - simple white shirts, classic denim, the chic everyday boot, and the staple jean jacket. Because if it's not broke, why fix it? However, this season's batch took the classic and gave it a fresh twist. Trenches were deconstructed, used as skirts, layered under a denim mini skirt, or cinched at the waist with a few leather belts. Denim got lighter, looser, and more cropped. The color story of the show was minimal, earthy even - crisp white, cream, denim, navy, olive, camel, with the appearance of a blue-hued floral. But the freshest of all? The consistent use of coats and jumpers as incredibly chic scarves. It's so easy to picture each look of the show translating into real life, which in this current state of fashion is surprisingly harder and harder to find.
